The City of Fort Valley is implementing a revised format for its Committee Meetings to provide a more focused and efficient structure for departmental discussion and public engagement.
Moving forward, each Committee Meeting will be held by the Department Chair and a designated Committee Member. The full Mayor and Council body will not be present.
All Committee Meetings will remain open to the public, and citizens are encouraged to attend, ask questions, and remain informed about matters impacting City operations and the community.
The first meeting under the revised format will be held:
October 8, 2026
